Open hours are for the first floor and collections on the second floor which includes the Johnson Publishing Library, the Glass Lantern Slides, Frankie Knuckles and Edward J. Williams Collections.
Free tours are offered Friday-Sunday during open hours at 1:00 PM. Orientations to the collections are currently on hold while the collections are in the process of being reorganized.
Rebuild’s additional spaces in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, including the Listening House, Archive House, Black Cinema House, and Dorchester Art + Housing Collaborative, are open to the public during our screenings, workshops, performances and other events. Please see our events page for more information.
Please note, all photoshoots need to be prearranged.
Parking is available in the lot directly west of the Arts Bank off of 68th Street. On-street parking is also available on Stony Island Avenue and 68th Street.
The closest public transportation options include: Metra: 59th Street and 71st Street stations. CTA: Buses #28, J14, 67 and 6 depart from various points along Stony Island Avenue.
