Self + Otherness Film Workshop

Led by artist Marco G. Ferrari, Self + Otherness is a free course that focuses on the production and theory of moving image-based work, exploring how time and space are used as materials to create form and inspire content in film and video.

Reading the Black Library

Selections from our collections are read aloud by invited artists, musicians, students, and community members. During the month of February, selections will be drawn from our new collection of books donated by the historic DuSable High School library. Special guests this month include a spoken word group from the Bronzeville Scholastic Institute and vocalist Kiara Lanier.

House Tea Ceremony

This Ceremony will include African teas from The Whole Hearted and locally-brewed teas curated by Imani Bonne. And, as always, featured audio selections from the Frankie Knuckles Vinyl Collection catalogue will pulsate throughout the gallery.
