Join us for our weekly Sunday Service featuring the work of former Rebuild Foundation artist-in-residence, Yaw Agyeman, and his musical accompaniment. Work on the Sabbath seeks to create an experience of healing and community through the practice of listening and space sharing.
Osei Agyeman-Badu is a father, husband and visual artist born in Chicago, but raised in Ghana, West Africa. His Ghanaian and Chicago roots play a large role in his practice as he mixes and merges various techniques and materials such as drawing, photography and pyrography. Osei will create a live work inspired by music and conversation.
As 2017 comes to a close and he holiday season upon us, Work on the Sabbath will focus on gratitude. We invite you to bring non-perishable goods, clothes, and toys as we will focus our efforts to donate to local organizations that are poised to help with homelessness and concerned with the future and safety of our children.
