Work on the Sabbath will feature Grammy award winning poet, recording artist and author, J. Ivy. Ivy has bridged the genres of hip hop and poetry with performances on HBO Def Poetry Slam, Kanye West’s debut album The College Drop Out and in his own full length solo album, Here I am (2010). Ivy has also released a collection of poetry titled, Dear Father: Breaking the Cycle of Pain (Atria Books, Simon & Schuster, 2015) and HERE I AM: Then & Now (Bookbaby, 2012).

Work on the Sabbath is a weekly Sunday Service featuring the work of former Rebuild Foundation artist-in-residence, Yaw Agyeman, and special guests. Work on the Sabbath seeks to create an experience of healing and community through the practice of listening and space sharing.

Join us at BING as Ivy will perform and read a selection of works in collaboration with Yaw Agyeman.
