Please join Rebuild Choreographer-In-Residence, 3Arts/University of Illinois Chicago Fellow and Chicago Dancemakers Forum 2015 Lab Artist, Barak adé Soleil, for an intimate showing of an excerpt from his newest project: “what the body knows”. Exploring nuances within the intersection of race & disability, this suite of solos and a duet delve into these intertwining cultural legacies that inform how we move and are moved.
Prior to the world premiere this coming fall, the open showing will focus on the developing duet between Barak and NYC-based artist Jerron Herman; offering compelling insight into the larger vision of the work.
