Cinema As Rhythm & Poetry: Student Showcase

‘Cinema as Rhythm and Poetry’ asked students  to challenge their assumptions about documentary, experimental, and narrative cinema. This critical reflection initiated the search for participants’ own filmic language to articulate their stories and document communities. The works screened here are the result of this search. Led by Darren Wallace, Cinema Education Coordinator of Black Cinema House, students engaged emergent narrative strategies and formal experimentation to shape their personal voice and approach to cinema production.
